After reading “Spell to become a Handsome Prince” on a page fragment he tried to piece the spell back together . . . There are lots of laugh-out-loud moments to be had with the mix-and-match pages as Frog struggles through a host of jumbled spells and extraordinary guises (Rabbit? Fabbit?! Prabbit!?!) in search of his fairytale ending. Another wonderfully inventive book from the creator of WOLVES, winner of the Kate Greenaway Medal and the Nestlé Children’s Book Prize Bronze Award. Totz2teens Member Review: Emily Gravett has done it again with a delightfully simple and easy to read book. This is probably for the older young children as they may not understand the spell changing which we found hysterical. My 4 year old found it funny and kept going backwards and forwards making different creatures. I liked the simplicity of the colours in the drawings which made it seem more mysterious. Great book. Totz2teens Member Review: A very exciting book to start with as it is tied with ribbon making it feel even more special. Would therefore make a nice gift. We were not disappointed. This is truly a most delightful book full of surprises. The pages come to life as they are all pop out scenes but not only that there are tabs to pull to move things. Incredible. Totz2teens Member Review: This is a really superb book. It is aimed right at the level of inquisitive children. My children decided on one feasible experiment each and we took to task in teaching them a little science. Many experiments needed some pre thought to make sure you have the right equipment and ingredients but there are some that are just household items fortunately. The experiments went well but were rather messy so be warned - its not something to do straight after cleaning the house. They loved watching the dvd that comes with the book and I got hear them laughing happily. The book is full of facts and explains how certain experiments are used in every day life.
