Katie Price
Katie Price's Perfect Ponies
series will be published by Bantam on 7th June, priced £3.99 each
Age Range 7-9
Titles to be released June 2007 are:
Here Comes the Bride, Pony Club Weekend, Fancy Dress Ponies, Little
Treasures
The stories are set in Vicki's Riding school which is neat, tidy and ordered
but also fun and welcoming. This is down to Vicki whose passion for
horses has led her to leave her job as a glamorous air hostess and use every
penny of her savings to open her own yard. Vicki's yard is not run
with military precision: The well being of the horses and ponies is
her priority. Any girl who shows promise and works hard around
the year will get back a hundred fold. These girls and the ponies they
are in charge of are the focus for the stories.
Totz2teens Review:
I reviewed Here comes the Bride from the Katie Price Perfect
Ponies new range of books. Vicki is a hero worshipped owner of a pony
riding stables. The stable has a group of young girls that are unable
to own their own ponies but work hard and take pleasure in grooming, mucking
out and helping around the yard in order to gain free riding. Vicki
the owner is due to take a day off to go to a wedding and is concerned how
the stable will cope plus she thinks she will miss the ponies. The
girls hatch a secret plan but will the snobby livery girl Henrietta spoil it
all. The book is great for young readers perhaps who have a fancy
towards ponies and horses. This book offers the reader an experience
which I think they would enjoy. It is fairly simply written but this
will allow the reader to follow the story quickly and easily. The characters
are easy to gel with and all in all a nice book for young girls.

I hadn't read a book by Katie Price and wasn't really sure I wanted to.
I wondered how much talent this young woman can really have. Well.
I have to say the book encaptured me and I found myself wanting to know what
was going to happen next. The Storyline is about a all girl band and
how they pursue fame by trying out on a TV talent show. There are
twists and tales along the way and is centred on the main character Crystal.
I found this book an easy read. Sometimes it was very basic but this
sort of helped understand the way perhaps the characters were talking and
helped visualise them too. I would say that the book was suitable for
older teens and adults as there is some strong language. I think I
would consider reading Angel, Katie Prices first book and wouldnt say no to
reading others by her either. I think this captures an area that other
writers dont reach.
