Mr & Mrs Ken -The Numbers 1 to 10 -
From Key stage 1
Why shouldn't math be fun? Well we think it should and it is with Mr and Mrs
Ken. A picture book which identifies numbers from one to ten, written in a
poetic style, ideal for helping children identify numbers, patterns and
sequences. The characters look like numbers from a multi number/cultural
background, so no one is left out. This is the first in this new series of
books. A vibrant, colourful, educating and fun book.

Totz2teens Member Review: Ideal book for young readers. My
daughter wasn't quite able to read all this alone but we read it together
and talked about the numbers and how the postman uses the numbers to see
where to post letters. The book had a good flow and lovely big
pictures too. Would recommend it.

True Friends -
From Key stage 2
True Friends! is the first of a series of books about a pair of twins - Rom
and Disk. The series looks at various aspects of their lives - their
friendships, family and relationships at school. The character's names are
all computer based and link the simplicity and fun in the lives of young
children today to the high tech computer age they are engulfed in. Each
story also provides some moral that the children reading the story can take
away and reflect on within their own life and relationships. In this first
book, children and parents alike will enjoy getting to know Rom and Disk,
their good friend Printer and will also be introduced to the school bad boy
- Virus. You can anticipate many more adventures to come in future books.

True Friends Characters are based on computer based names so refer to
Disc, Rom, Chip and Floppy. In this book the twins Rom and Disk decide
to go and pick strawberries with their friend but Printer goes ahead and
ends up getting caught. This is where the book moves onto the
friendship and they learn right from wrong. A good idea with nice
simple pictures.

"Parenting is not for cowards" Oh how
true a sentence! A useful book which covers an A-Z of parenting from
money matters, behavioural and stages of development. The book is a
good reminder of the way to react to things that happen along the way.
It explains situation and then how to deal with it which is really helpful.
