Totz2teens Review :  Lego Rockband is available now on all the consoles.  We tested out the PS3 version.  WOW.  My family says its the best game ever.  They played for hours and hours late into the night with huge enthusiasm.  They awoke the next day and carried on.  They have been playing it so much and raving about the game so much.  In fact I have never seen such enthusiasm from all of them jointly.  They even went upstairs and have been producing their own Lego version of the staging for their band.  It has been honestly so sweet.  This game is brilliant on so many levels.  In my opinion the key factor is the songs available.  They are well known and enjoyable to sing and play along too.  Unlike some of the Rockband discs before which have been very 'rock' which has meant we didn't recognise many songs - but this one has a fantastic array of songs and genre.  The graphics of the lego character are such fun and everyone loved making their own character to play with.  The challenges of having different stages to play at meant that there isn't a moment of boredom.  For those that haven't played a rockband type game before =- You are missing out.  To be able to have up to 4 people playing at the same time is brilliant.  No one gets bored waiting for their turn.  You can of course play your favourite instrument by yourself which I caught my husband doing one morning.  This game is a real must for any family with any mix of age children too as most ages can eventually follow colour patterns.  Using lego has meant that the rockband brand has been brought down to a younger more family friendly market.  If you have any doubts about this game - DON'T.  Its FABULOUSLY BRILLIANT.

Totz2teens Rating:  5 out of 5 - More if we could go higher!!!  Thumbs up.

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince 12+    £49.99

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince the game is based on the latest film which bring to the screen J. K. Rowling’s sixth Harry Potter book.

Voldemort is tightening his grip on both the Muggle and wizarding worlds and Hogwarts™ is no longer the safe haven it once was. Harry suspects that dangers may even lie within the castle, but Dumbledore is more intent upon preparing him for the final battle that he knows is fast approaching. Together they work to find the key to unlock Voldemort’s defences and, to this end, Dumbledore recruits his old friend and colleague, the well-connected and unsuspecting bon vivant Professor Horace Slughorn, whom he believes holds crucial information.

Meanwhile, the students are under attack from a very different adversary as teenage hormones rage across the ramparts. Harry finds himself more and more drawn to Ginny, but so is Dean Thomas. And Lavender Brown has decided that Ron is the one for her, only she hadn't counted on Romilda Vane’s chocolates! And then there’s Hermione, simmering with jealousy but determined not to show her feelings.

As romance blossoms, one student remains aloof. He is determined to make his mark, albeit a dark one. Love is in the air, but tragedy lies ahead and Hogwarts may never be the same again.

Return to Hogwarts to help Harry survive his sixth year. You will have a chance to engage in exciting wizard duels, mix magical ingredients in Potions class and take to the air as the Seeker of the Gryffindor™ Quidditch™ team. You may even get sidetracked by Ron’s romantic entanglements as you journey towards a dramatic climax and discover the identity of the Half-Blood Prince.

Totz2teens Review
I reviewed Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince - The Videogame for the PS3.  It is available for the other consoles too.  Have to say the wii version looks brill as your controller becomes your wand or broomstick.

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince is an amazing game,  the graphics are just great.  It's a little different from the film but is definitely better than the other Harry Potter games.

The spells and potions are much easier to perform than the last couple of Harry Potter games which I liked.

You can explore Hogwarts from the Quidditch pitch to the Astronomy Tower, The attention to detail is amazing throughout the game.

The Quidditch is different but still very good fun. We enjoyed playing the multiplayer where duelling which is enormous fun.

The game itself may be quite short but it has a free roam ability and it does take a while to get all the crests and the mini crests.

Totz2teens Rating:  I will give the game 5/5.

Totz2teens Member Review: This is one of those games that is totally frustrating.  In a good way of course.  There are a good number of activities for you to carry out, unlocking extras as you go along which you can buy with your points.  My children loved doing this.  Some of the games are really really hard but once sussed you can start scoring some excellent scores.  The games are not too long so when you have one person having their go the next person isn't long behind which with young children is a godsend.  Although they don't like being beaten by their sibling or parent!!!  Or perhaps the parents don't like being beaten by the kids.  There are some totally bizarre 'records' to attempt but also some really interesting concepts like the ripping telephone directories.  I am sure this was as hard on the game as it would be in real life.  The children loved getting records and it was a real boost for them to carry on.  I had to stop them for bed and they were 'oh mum' which shows they really found it to be an engrossing game.  Beating your last score too of course is a challenge in itself.  My husband and I sneaked on the game once they had gone to bed and its totally recommended by us too.  I feel you could use this as part of party games because everyone can get involved.  Brilliant

From concept to catwalk, you'll design the outfits and accessories for your very own fashion line while learning real-world fashion tips from the experts.

Totz2teens Member Review: Being able to design your own clothes, catwalk show and much more is a delight.  My daughter loves designing clothes so this was just ideal for her.  She was able to work this by herself once her DS calibrated itself and she sat for a very long time making everything for her first catwalk show which we then watched too.  She says that it was not difficult to work out what to do and she really enjoyed playing it and showing what she had created.   The DS comes to life being able to move and design your chosen outfit.  Definately a must for trainee designers.

Totz2teens Member Review:  Pros: Easy to use, nice templates to colour, easy to understand, good to look at , fun to play, save mannually after each show, music choice and design for fashion show.  can choose models

Cons- short game play.

overall -
Barbie is a great game for a girl aged between 6 and 11.  Great to look at, easy to play and quick to pick up.  The choice of muisc, style, models and stage setup gives the game plenty of choices.  Its only downfall is that it doesnt last long enough.

The twisted fairytale humour of Shrek meets the fun of the Carnival as you play 28 hilarious minigames. Play as your favourite Shrek characters and compete to become the King or Queen of the carnival!

Totz2teens Member Review: Its taken me a while to write this as we have been playing for ages and my arms are rather tired.  All that running and cycling does a girl in LOL.  My son thrashed me which was totally unfair too.  There are a wide selection of mini games for the players to unlock which meant to begin with you are having to play a much smaller selection but some of these were really really hard games and we couldn't suss them very well so were pleased as more games were unlocked and crowns were awarded.  I don't feel that this was the best wii game out and I felt that a very young child would get very frustrated by the difficulty of some of the games.  As an adult I was!!!!  But there is plenty to do on the game.  Extras like video clips to watch were a nice bonus feature.  Of course Shrek is a popular character and we took to the theme very well.  Choosing which character you want to be was fun as both children wanted to be Dronkey but we got there in the end and were able to enjoy playing.

Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa £39.99  Xbox 360
Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa (Xbox 360) - Product Image
Following the success of the 2005 blockbuster hit and #1 kid’s movie game Madagascar comes an all-new wacky adventure in the Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa Video Game. Based on the upcoming feature film from DreamWorks Animation, the four famous zoo animals – Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe and Gloria the Hippo – and their entire madcap Madagascar crew take players on a whole new action-packed journey to help save the African savannah. Assuming the roles of all their Favorite characters, including those crafty penguins, players must work through 12 distinct levels featuring a variety of wild adventures and fun mini-games. In addition to the diverse single-player gameplay, the Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa Video Game delivers an enhanced multiplayer tournament mode allowing gamers to participate in outlandish competitions alongside or against friends and family.

Totz2teens Member Review: My kids have seen them film so were delighted that we were able to test out the game for totz2teens.  They found the game to be exciting and fun and loved mouching through Africa just like the film.  They were encaptured by the game and found it fairly easy to pick up.  Knowing the characters from the film made them shout out when the other characters were visible.
Moving through the different levels was at times challenging and a bit tricky but this kept you coming back to attempt it all again.    We enjoyed playing the tournament games together which were really mini games but they work well and add another concept to the whole game play.  This is a great game suitable for children as it is not oh so complicated which of course is really great and hits the right age level.  The game graphics are superb for a game although not the same as the film but still everyone enjoyed playing it.  I was surprised how quickly my elder child was able to complete the game but this gave the opportunity to ensure that she helped my younger daughter.

Totz2teens Review:  Liking all things Star Wars I knew my children would be very happy to play this game.  The game is so suitable for the wii because of the way the controllers work.  Seeing the children and their friend zapping everything and moving around exercising without even knowing it made me smile.  You have different eases to play and of course they chose easy first.  My young son was able to work through this with relative speed which surprised me but because of this he felt he could cope with a more difficult challenge which he thoroughly enjoyed.  When our friend came round he picked up the game quickly too.   Of course there is a bit of violence involved as you are fighting but no blood and guts to worry about and the sensitive children wont be upset by it at all.   We would be very happy to recommend this game.

Star Wars Force Unleashed
Available on the following formats:  NDS, PS2, PS3, PSP, Wii, XBOX360

The Star Wars Saga continues in Star Wars™:The Force Unleashed, a videogame developed by Lucas Arts, which casts players as Darth Vader's "Secret Apprentice" and promises to unveil new revelations about the Star Wars galaxy.

The expansive story is set during the largely unexplored era between Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope.

In it, players will assist the iconic villain in his quest to rid the universe of the Jedi - and face decisions that could change the course of their destiny.

As its name implies, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed completely re-imagines the scope and scale of the Force by taking full advantage of newly developed technologies: Digital Molecular Matter (DMM) and Euphoria. Paired with the powerful Havok Physics™ system, these new technologies create game play only possible on the new generation of consoles. DMM incorporates the physical properties of anything in the environment of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed so that everything reacts exactly like it should; wood breaks like wood, glass shatters like glass, plants on the planet Felucia bend like plants on the planet Felucia would, and more. Meanwhile, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed's revolutionary behavioural-simulation engine, Euphoria, enables characters in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed to move, act and even think like actual human beings, adapting their behaviour during game play on the fly and resulting in a different payoff every single time you play Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.

Totz2teens Member Review:  Thank you for letting us test out the new Star Wars Unleashed game on the PS3.  We have given this a really good test and we really like this game.

The game is really exciting and good to play.  You have different missions that you have to complete against different characters.  There is enough in the game to make you cross when you cant do it but keep coming back until you can achieve it.  The Graphics are very good and help make the game more enjoyable to play as they are smooth.  The music adds to the suspense of the game without being irritating.  There are some great moves available which adds to the game play ability.  A great game for all different ages.

Adult - graphics are good, plays well, addictive as I want to get further.  Controls were a bit tricky to learn but once I got the hang of them it fell into place.  very playable.  4/5 but haven't finished playing it yet so that could go up!!!

11 yr old  - good but hard to play - I am sure I will get better as I keep wanting to play it. 4/5
